1971

• The Accident: H.G. Tannhaus's son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter die in a car crash on a rainy night. This is the catalyst for everything.

1986

• The Split: Tannhaus activates his time machine in the bunker to save his family. instead of traveling back, it destroys his world and splits it into two: Adam's World and Eva's World.

Finale

• Jonas (Adam's World) and Martha (Eva's World) travel to the Origin World 1971.
• They prevent the car crash.
• Tannhaus never builds the machine.
• The two worlds disappear.

1888

• Stranded: Adult Jonas, Magnus, Franziska, and Bartosz arrive here after escaping the 2020 apocalypse.
• They work on building a time machine (the "God Particle").

1921

• Sic Mundus: Noah (Young) and Agnes lives here.
• Adam: Old Jonas leads Sic Mundus.
• Jonas (Young) is brought here and meets Adam.

1953

• Arrivals: Ulrich arrives from 2019 to find Mikkel. He is arrested by Egon Tiedemann.
• Construction: The Nuclear Power Plant construction begins.
• Helge: Ulrich attacks young Helge, scarring him.

1986

• Missing: Mads Nielsen disappears (died in chair).
• Mikkel: Arrives from 2019, adopted by Ines, becomes Michael Kahnwald.
• Power Plant: Nuclear accident creates the dark matter (God Particle).
• Claudia: Takes over the plant.

2019 - Start of Series

• Suicide: Michael Kahnwald hangs himself (June 21).
• Disappearance: Mikkel Nielsen vanishes near the caves (Nov 4).
• Investigation: Ulrich and Charlotte investigate.
• Discovery: Jonas finds the map in the attic.

2020 - The Apocalypse

• Martha's Death: Adam kills Martha.
• Rescue: Alt-Martha appears to save Jonas.
• Apocalypse: The God Particle stabilizes and destroys Winden (June 27).
• Survivors: Some escape to 1888, some bunker down.

2052

• Post-Apocalypse: Winden is a ruin.
• Elisabeth: Leads the survivors, protects the God Particle.
• Jonas: Arrives here from 1986 (Season 1 finale).

Key Differences

• Mikkel: Does not travel back. Michael Kahnwald doesn't exist. Jonas doesn't exist.
• Ulrich: Cheats on Katharina with Charlotte Doppler? No, he's just as messy.
• Martha: Becomes the traveler (Eva).
• Apocalypse: Triggered in Nov 2019.

Eva (Old Martha)

• Leads the Erit Lux (counterpart to Sic Mundus).
• Wants to preserve the knot so her son (The Origin) can live.
